So this took place not too long ago with a small campaign I was running to test out some new mechanics and homebrew I was working on for a D&D expansion I was working on to use in my games in order to allow players to have challenging adventures at high levels.
The session started simple gathering a couple players including Me, A Tabaxi player, a Dwarf player, a Kobold, and a player who was playing a feathered raptor race from my setting (Whom I shall refer to as "Raptor" for simplicity).
Our first couple of sessions started off well, Tabaxi got a short sword stuck on a roof while the party chased a goblin through a town, Dwarf ended up getting into a drinking contest with the town guard, Kobold and Raptor had an adorable romance between their characters, but then something reared it's head a couple sessions in. First it started with Tabaxi, she came up and asked about including more of her backstory which I ended up denying. In fact, I denied a lot of backstories. Starting to nearly constantly correct all of my players on nearly everything as the sessions went on till one day the Dwarf go up at the table and shouted at the top of his lungs that he was done, a crazy fight broke out and everyone left... Although... That is not actually what happened...
No, Dear reader, it was not a big fight between me and my players, nor was it forcing a DMPC on them... Rather, it was a lack of action... I wish it was something more interesting, but this is not a horror story of intensity, but rather one of the dull quiet death of a campaign. I made a Discord server to use and started inviting players, getting eight in total... and then... Not a dashing battle, nor a scene to remember, but a quiet whimper... nothing... I tried to engage my players to make characters, but I didn't even have a map...
Slowly my players left until it was just me, the Tabaxi, a close friend I brought on to help with writing, and one other who never got to make a character before the game died like a man trapped below a frozen sheet of ice on a lake, slowly sinking down into the darkness, most likely forgotten by all who had once known it.
I came here to share this with you, Dear Reader. For all the DMs or to-be DMs out there. A bad story sometimes is better than no story at all...
Well... besides stories that get Really bad, like stalkers or mad men trying to hurt other players.

I’m a lesbian and I have a beautiful girlfriend, the number of disgusting comments we get from men either wanting to ‘join’ us or convince that they can turn either of us straight is astounding. Why can’t any of these guys understand that nobody is clearly interested in them. Why do they keep on insisting? It’s honestly so frustrating because they hear were lesbians and immediately sexualizes us? Hell just being a woman gets sexualized enough.
I absolutely love the guys in my life because they’re either gay or just very respectful of women. Some of them tho know some disgusting people. Guys who makes a whole lot of misogynistic jokes. Frat boys who does nothing but sexualize women. Dudes who makes a sexual joke out of everything. I find them all very disgusting. It’s like they don’t respect women at all. Honestly, everyone should just respect other people and stop being perverts but no, they gotta be disgusting and I absolutely hate that.
It’s very obvious that me and my girlfriend are a thing. We literally say we are on our posts. Get this tho, men still constantly hit her up. I don’t post any private details or selfies on social media so there’s really nothing to worry about on my side but my girlfriend is a fashion influencer so she posts selfies or pictures I take of her. Just because she post herself, guys just decide that they’re gonna hit her up? I never knew any guy could be so persistent in messaging someone, especially if it’s so obvious that they’re being ignored.
What does it benefit men to harass women? Does that turn them on? Are women just objects? This one guy in particular, doesn’t have the looks and was dating someone else when he was constantly messaging my girl “hey” every four days. She always leaves him on delivered but he’s so persistent he won’t stop. At one point even texted her “wanna make a little cash?” Like wtf is this? Many of my friends who posts a lot of themselves share multiple similar stories and I find that horrible. We can’t even post a photo of us on the beach or the pool without being sexualized. This whole “slide’s in your dm’s” infuriates me. This whole “if shes dating someone, its only you vs her partner. If she single, it’s you vs the world. Decide wisely” crap is so annoying. I just find it so disrespectful.
I’m okay with people hitting her up with a compliment and not knowing shes in a relationship. If they back off once they know then there’s really no issues with them. Heck if they honestly just wants to be friends then thats super cool, a whole lotta guys got bad intentions tho. This dude and my girl were all cool and friendly then one time he just slyly tried to flirt with her???? She didn’t return it and has since stopped talking to him but wtf? Friends?? But a whole different reason why you wanna be friends? Man I hope if you find someone you get cheated on.
I’m really cool with people with no bad intentions, but deciding to hit someone up when you know damn well that they’re in a relationship is absolutely trashy. Like if you ever asked a girl for her phone number and she says “my partner wouldn’t be comfy with it so I’d rather not give it to you” then you continue with “oh can I at least have your social media?” ?????? Just why are women so sexualized? When I was a kid, my grandma would make me wear a bra at home because an uncle was visiting. I find that so weird? Why does a kid have to change because their uncle can’t control themself? Many women I know had this similar experience and I find it so weird why we have to be the one to be so wary. Why can’t these men just stop sexualizing women? To hell with this “it’s a man’s world” crap. Respecting everyone isn’t such a hard thing to ask for. You wanna disrespect women? If you get disrespected in return don’t get mad, literally should’ve known it was coming.
Anyways I’m just going on a tangent, this Black Mirror episode made me think so much and also got me riled up and I have to vent it all out or else I wouldn’t be able to sleep.

Uh, hi, so something weird has been happening for about 5 months now. Randomly, I’ll get this feeling that almost everything isn’t real, like I’m in a dream. I’m fully aware that it’s happening as soon as it starts happening but life just feels fake even though I’m looking at smth real (hopefully you understand what I mean). I get a super weird panicky feeling when it happens and my head gets all fuzzy. Sometimes my stomach will start to cramp up too. I can usually get it to stop by laying down, taking dead breaths, and I name things I can see. After it’s over, sometimes I’m breathing a bit heavy and majority of the time I’ll have a terrible headache after it’s done. One thing I should add though is that it lasts for only about 20 seconds, it’s never lasted over even a minute, although if I didn’t do what I do to get it to stop, I’m not sure how long it would last.
Does anyone have any clue what this might be? I’m having a hard time trying to search it up and figure out what’s actually wrong with me ;w;
